Lone Star Recycling & Disposal Facility, a Type IV solid waste landfill (TCEQ MSW #2344) is located at 4107 South Sam Houston Parkway West, at the intersection of Beltway 8 and Hiram Clarke. This new facility conforms to all current and pending rules and regulations governing both design and operation. Additionally, all machinery used on site for processing waste is current model, which meets or exceeds EPA air quality standards for such equipment.

This facility incorporates recycling / landfill diversion into its daily operations. As waste is delivered to the site for disposal, certain recyclables are salvaged from the waste stream for reuse. These recyclable commodities are either processed for reuse on-site or transported to other recyclers. Examples of material diverted from the waste stream are: Concrete, Brick, Metal, Certain Wood and Green Waste.

Our environmental commitment and innovative practices are further exemplified by these recent accomplishments:

• 1st Type IV Landfill in HGAC Region permitted to allow the salvage of recyclable material from the waste stream at the active disposal area.
• 1st Type IV Landfill in Texas permitted to reuse gypsum/drywall as a soil amendment.
